Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Painter: Jasmine Mansbridge

To say that Jasmine keeps herself busy is a massive understatement.

Jasmine is one of the most hardworking, dedicated artists I have ever had the honour of meeting. Jasmine lives with her husband and five children in the beautiful rural Victorian town of Hamilton, where she has a stunning spacious home studio.

Besides producing a steady stream of works for exhibitions, Jasmine has also been bringing her geometric goodness to walls all over the world. From her home town of Hamilton, to restaurants in Melbourne and Sydney, to walkways in Hong Kong and beyond.

The Art of Dining

Jasmine had the immense privilege of being invited to collaborate with Fenton x Fenton to participate in an exhibition by the National Gallery of Victoria called The Art of Dining, where she beautified a four pillar pavilion with her geometric wizardry. The exhibition was inspired by the painting by Giambattista Tiepolo, ‘The Banquet of Cleopatra’, currently in the collection of NGV.

In conjunction with the installation, Jasmine also produced a series of one-off ceramics titled ‘Cleopatra’s Tear’s’, available for purchase at Fenton x Fenton.

Jasmines upcoming show ‘Your Turn for the Moon’ opens at Gold Coasts 19KAREN GALLERY. In this body of work, Jasmine responds to the idea of the passing of time, exploring the concept of what time actually is. She uses geometric, architectural devices, portals and stairs as metaphors to tell her own stories about time.

There Is A Paintbrush In My Coffee

Oh yeah, and somehow Jasmine found the time to write a book! ‘There Is A Paintbrush in My Coffee’ is a beautiful little read, packed with nuggets of knowledge and powerful insights on the realities of balancing being both a thriving artists and a present mother. I read this book about 12 months ago and I am still referring to it when I experience a creative block or just want to escape to the world of a flourishing creative! Purchase for just $20 directly from the artists website.
